Job Description

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Bid Writer for a leading Civil Engineering company.About the roleWorking alongside the wider bid team, you will be responsible for the following

  • Working closely with the proposals manager to maintain and improve bid management processes
  • Leading the production of well-structured written responses
  • Supporting the bid managers to deliver on all quality requirements
  • Planning and structuring the quality responses
  • Working with the wider business and subject matter experts to obtain appropriate information / solutions for responses
  • Leading a team of bid writers, supporting, coaching and guiding them to achieve the highest standards of compliance and develop quality bids and proposals
  • Managing and responding to escalated challenges from the bid writers
  • Identifying win themes and bidding strategies
  • Delivering written responses for prequalification and tender submissions
  • Reviewing responses produced by other bid writers, providing constructive feedback to enhance their submission
  • Leading storyboarding sessions and reviews
  • Assisting with the preparation and deliver of presentations to the client
  • Providing input to lessons learned processes
About youYou will be an experienced Senior Bid Writer, who can create content from scratch as well as work with subject matter experts to interpret technical content. You will have previous experience working as a bid writer within the civil engineering or constructionsector, and ideally have some experience managing or mentoring a team. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and timekeeping skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working to tightdeadlines. A degree in English, Marketing, Journalism or relevant sector would be an advantage, however this isnt essential.
