Job Description

This presents a unique chance to collaborate with a team of devoted professionals committed to providing optimal support to students withSEMH needs.Requirements:As an ideal candidate for the role of a primary SEMH Teaching Assistant, you should possess:

  • Proven experience working with students facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passionate commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of students
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Responsibilities:In the role of a primary SEMH Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing dedicated support to students with SEMH needs
  • Assisting students in developing emotional literacy and resilience
  • Playing a key role in the delivery of lessons and educational-based activities
  • Collaborating with educational professionals to ensure EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) outcomes are effectively met
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday
  • Welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Demonstrate a proactive, energetic, kind, and caring demeanor
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to undergo the process with us)
  • Have a fully checkable work history
