Job Description

Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale - Aligned to Agenda for Change Band 2Hours/Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per weekContract Type: PermanentBased: Marie Curie Newcastle HospiceClosing date: 10th July 2023Interview date: TBCYou will provide full secretarial and office admin support, maintaining team diaries, producing correspondence, reports, minutes, presentations and other documents. Your ability to establish and maintain efficient office systems and produce accurate managementinformation, as required, is essential. You should therefore be highly organised and flexible, have excellent IT and proven administration skills and be confident dealing with a variety of stakeholders in a professional manner.As the first point of contact for the office to receive visitors, handling incoming calls, dealing pro-actively with enquiries and supporting communication within the office, you will ensure arrangements for events and meetings are made in a timely fashion,including any booking of rooms, travel and accommodation; associated documentation.No two days are the same and you will juggle a variety of demands in this hands-on role.What we are looking for:

  • Excellent planning, administrative and organisational skills.
  • High level of discretion while dealing with confidential information
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office - word processing, spreadsheets, database ability to use Word and Excel
  • Ability to achieve accurate and fast returns of work
