Putting their people first, this role allows you to help deliver the organisations vision via benefits/rewards strategy for your colleagues.This role is extremely interesting, wide ranging and gives you the ability to provide advice, insights and analyse data to support a clear approach to all aspects of your colleagues pay and benefits. Predominantly in areas such as devising academic promotionsoptions and supporting pay reviews.Key Tasks: Review, improve and lead annual pay review and promotions processes. For academic promotions, to support the review and development of criteria across all promotion pathways. Adopt a project-based approach when redesigning the promotions criteria to ensure it responds to the previous feedback, includes desktop research andenvironmental scanning. To manage the membership of committees; develop and deliver workshop and launch materials. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including People Services Business Partners and Faculty/Hub based colleagues by building strong and supportive relationships in all departments to contribute to developing and delivering the Reward offer. Generate and analyse annual pay gap and equal pay data and compose timely reports that dovetail with other EDI data. Carry out job evaluation, ensuring that the process is efficient and compliant with the requirements of the reward governance framework. Supporting the Head of People Solutions and Reward Partner with developing and driving key reward initiatives e.g. undertaking salary review processes (including pay surveys and market benchmarking), colleague benefit provision and working group membership. Analyse and interpret key HR metrics to keep us up to date with current market data. Creation of pay and grading structures models, scenarios and costings Develop a wide range of reward reports including the presentation of data in an effective format for decision making bodies such as Remuneration Committee. Carry out a variety of reward activities, including annual pay reviews, national pay awards and implementation of the changes as a result of the Real Living Wage.Essential Criteria:Experience in an Advisory role, ideally Reward Adviser / HR Adviser Skilled/experience of job evaluation Capable of independent analysis and research into all aspects of academic staff promotion & progression Ability to appropriately influence, maintain effective working relationships and actively collaborate with other colleagues Advanced Excel skills including data manipulation for reporting Excellent communication skills; the ability to seek out new information and communicate effectively with colleagues
