Job Description

Registered Manager Newcastle-upon-TyneCirca £40,000pa + 15% yearly bonusWe are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our start-up Domiciliary Care service for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne area. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-dayrunning of the service, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to all service users.The right candidate would have at least 2 years experience in a managerial capacity, along with a background in working with complex needs. In addition, the candidate would need a strong understanding of all CQC frameworks and legislations with a keen eyefor detail.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the service meets all regulatory and legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, service users, their families and carers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the service is run efficiently and effectively
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff
  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles, and that they receive regular supervision and appraisals
  • Monitor and manage the budget to ensure that the service is financially sustainable
  • Ensure that all service users receive a personalised care plan that meets their individual needs and preferences
  • Promote a positive, person-centred culture within the service, and ensure that all staff understand and adhere to this approach
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a domiciliary care setting
  • Knowledge and experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and best practice within the social care sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands
  • Qualification in Health and Social Care (minimum level 4) or equivalent
