Job Description

Salary £40,000 - £45,000Remote/Hybrid - NewcastlePermanentOur award winning public sector client is looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to join their testing team with a view to help train, mentor and coach other team members, and apprentices to enable the on-going personal development and growth of skillswithin the business.The Person You will be supporting the Change Project function of the business. Havea proven track record of working in a successful leadership role, have excellent manual and automation testing experience and be confident in the use ofJava/Selenium/WebDriver/Cucumber/BDDFramework to name a few.Responsibilities

  • Designing Test Automation framework (Cucumber BDD approach) and developing automation infrastructure and Regression test suit.
  • Creating Data driven Tests and Running through BDD framework.
  • Develop, maintain and review teams automated test scenarios to ensure fit for purpose.
  • Creating/enhancing Test Cases using WebDriver methods, Java programming concepts and JUnit/TestNG Annotations and managing Error Handling.
  • Act as UAT Test lead in planning and executing UAT Testing sessions with business team.
  • Assign tasks to all Testing Team members ensuring they have sufficient work loads in the project.
  • Involved in performance and setting up performance testing using JMeter and database/batch jobs testing with SQL queries.
  • Lead the Accessibility team to perform testing using AXE, WAVE, Lighthouse tools, and also NVDA,Dragon tools to meet accessibility standards for visually impaired users.
