The CompanyWe are supporting a highly successful software house based out of Newcastle who have a client portfolio including local, national and international companies in the public and private sector. They offer a software solutions consultancy service, working closelywith the client to understand their requirements before delivering a bespoke, web or mobile based solution. Due to the diverse range of clients the business has not seen a slowdown this year, in fact experienced the opposite and recently won a number of newprojects. With the next new programme of work starting in October they are looking to bring in additional development and testing resource to support the build and delivery of solutions.The company have an established, and stable, testing team and following the contract wins need to add another tester to ensure the projects will be delivered successfully.The RoleYou will be joining a small testing team, working closely with the developers and customers to ensure that solutions delivered are fit for purpose and meet the client requirements. You will be working on both manual and automated testing, if you are able towrite frameworks this is an advantage but not essential for the role.Ideally youll have exposure to functional and non-functional testing, an awareness of automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium and a drive to learn.The PersonCandidates will need to have a strong testing background, working on a range of products would be advantageous or previous experience in a consultancy environment.Any knowledge of automated tools would be beneficial however an interest in learning and ability to demonstrate how youve furthered your own understanding would be of interest.This role would require you to be in the office, Newcastle city centre, one day per week. The client is unable to provide sponsorship so candidates will need to be eligible to work in the UK.Salary is dependant on experience and likely to be £30-45,000, with a broad range of testing experience or automation skills being most valuable.
