Job Description

Purpose of the Product Manager (eCommerce/Print): The Product Manager (eCommerce/Print) will also regularly collaborate with all other areas of the company; working with Performance and Retention Marketing to help understand positioning, benefits and target customers, Campaigns to devise dynamic and impactful go-to-market strategies for product launches, Creative to ensure we package our products with dynamic imagery that will capture our customers’ imagination, Customer Services to ensure our launch plans are aligned to expectations and opportunities, UX to find effective flow to product sales conversion, and Engineering for product loading and reporting.Main responsibilties of the Product Manager:

  • Working closely with the Marketing & Product Director to develop a dynamic, disruptive and progressive print product roadmap, with a sharp commercial direction
  • Managing all aspects of new product development, from initial business case, through to defining scope for engineering and UX, commercial opportunity, financial investment, customer onboarding, go-to-market launches and everything inbetween.
  • Collaboration with Production to identify improvements and enhancements to existing products and services, understanding wide use cases and customer adoption
  • Close collaboration with Production to maximise the potential of our existing machinery, whilst identifying new opportunities and efficiencies
  • Reviewing new and existing outsource partner relationships with the Commercial team
  • Leading a defined print product portfolio, with regular monitoring and reporting of product sales behaviour and KPIs
  • Use results from analysis to understand customer use and buyer personas, in turn identify untapped opportunities
  • Leading research into competitor offerings and comparable products
  • Working closely with Production, Development and UX to ensure the best customer journey and maximising conversion
  • Contributing to a print product launch plan/ go-to-market strategy aligned to product commercial expectations and KPIs
  • Influencing UX and Development/ Engineering on product specification, reporting requirements, positioning, pricing, packaging suggestions
  • Be an active member of the Product team sharing customer feedback, knowledge and insights
  • Create product content such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts, using internal and external resources
  • Ensure Customer Services and Manufacturing suppliers are regularly updated on progress of joint projects
  • Requirements
  • A passionate interest in small businesses and creative industries
  • 3 yrs product managment experience ideally gained within a print and or eCommerce organisation
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
