Job Description

Bonfire Engineering Recruitment are recruiting a Mechanical Product Design Engineer with thermodynamics design experience for our retained client, an established and growing manufacturing client in the North East of England, UK.Reporting to the Head of Design this significant & all-encompassing mechanical engineering role will empower you to design and develop modern mechanical products and enclosures for the automotive and aerospace industries.Responsibilities will include:

  • Design & develop mechanical components and specifications
  • Delivery of design outputs such as drawings, BOMs, etc
  • Validate designs through calculations, simulations, and practical testing.
The successful candidate is likely to:
  • Be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • Have demonstrable working experience using Solidworks, Catia, Inventor or similar.
  • Have demonstrable mechanical design experience for electrical applications.
  • Have worked to significant quality standards ( aerospace / automotive etc )
  • Have demonstrable thermodynamics, heat transfer and CFD modelling experience
