Job Description

My client is an established business that has been stable throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and is now looking to employ a talented, ambitious, PHP Developer to join their vibrant, existing development team. This is an office-based role in Newcastle upon Tyne, which my client has made Covid secure.Role responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of a development task including writing up an initial spec, developing, testing and releasing to production
  • Working with fellow developers, building new and exciting projects and assisting on current projects
  • Developing both front-end and back-end applications
  • Object Oriented PHP
  • Adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns and other best practices
  • Experience with a modern MVC frameworks
  • Experience with MySQL and query optimisation
  • Comfort with at least one JavaScript framework
  • Experience of working using Version Control such as Git
    • Essential requirements:
  • Be great at coding PHP
  • Experienced using modern MVC frameworks
  • MySQL databases
  • CSS/HTML5
  • Knowledge of CSS pre-processors and frameworks
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Git (Version Control) and using GitFlow in repositories
