With an increased demand in the economy for the provision of outsourced accounting services my client is enjoying continuous growth within their department. As a leading accountancy firm they are excited to be looking to appoint a new member to their team based on the outskirts of Newcastle City Centre.Working with a large array of clients, the team provides services to assist with VAT preparation, bookkeeping and management accounts. As a Senior you will undertake a number of these duties with support from your colleagues and Manager.The joy of working with a variety of clients means your days are never the same and you will get to develop relationships with businesses and overtime become more familiar with their needs.To share a flavour of the type of work you will be involved with:- Invoice processing, banking and reconciling- Posting Journals- Accruals & prepayments- Preparation of payroll journals- Quarterly VAT returns and analysis- Analysis of data working with Xero, Sage, Quickbooks, Digita and Excel- Monthly management accountsWe are looking for an individual who is AAT qualified (or equivalent) with relevant experience to the skills listed above. You will be familiar with a number of accounting software packages to include at least Sage or Xero and be able to demonstrate both a commercial awareness and genuine interest in working with clients.
