Job Description

Mid & Senior User Researcher - Newcastle or Remote - up to £65K DOEA leading consultancy is currently hiring for multiple User Researchers to join their team. This company are renowned for delivering impactful and meaningful change through technology across their Health, Social Care, Government and Private Sector clients.Were looking for empathetic, pragmatic, and experienced User Researchers to plan and conduct research activities to understand user needs, motivations and behaviour, as well as organisational goals and processes.Your research will be key to supporting the wider team to develop simple and intuitive services/products, based on a deep, shared understanding of user and organisation needs. You will also test solutions and concepts with users to ensure they are fit forpurpose and inform improvements.Skills:

  • Planning the research approach for projects, selecting the most appropriate methods and considering constraints around time, budget etc.
  • Facilitating discovery research with users and stakeholders, using methods such as interviews, surveys and observation
  • Facilitating evaluative research to assess the suitability and usability of proposed solutions, using methods such as usability testing and diary studies.
  • Analysing findings from a wide range of research activity, synthesising large amounts of potentially conflicting information to produce clear and actionable insights for the team
  • Experience of working on government services, delivering to the Government Service Standard, with a solid understanding of GDS design patterns and prototyping tools
  • Producing high-quality outputs to help communicate your research findings, such as (but not limited to) personas, user needs, journey maps and findings reports
  • Communicating insights and rationale to all levels of stakeholders in a clear, compelling and engaging manner, advocating for user needs and the value of user-centred design
  • Ensuring your research is ethical and adheres to GDPR
