Job Description

The CompanyMTrec is proudly representing our public sector client in their search to appoint an Marketing Communications Coordinator to start as soon as possible. This role is based on full time hours 37.5 hours per week. It is essential that the candidate successful for this role meets the person specification required. This role is initially for 2 months but may be extended.The Role

  • Develop, support and implement annual plans to support delivery of communication and marketing campaigns, including coordination of effective activities and communications.
  • To support a wide range of duties relating to marketing and communications activities for identified target audiences
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver an annual plan for updating content on the Business School website, in liaison with colleagues. Make recommendations for improvements to the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
  • Provide support to the Marketing Manager and Communications Coordinator and Marketing Manager to ensure that information audiences is high quality, impactful and coherent
  • Monitor and co-ordinate the Marketing budget, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Officer.
  • The Person
  • Grades A-C in English Language and Mathematics at GCSE (or vocational qualifications or equivalent) plus demonstrable work experience in a relevant role and/or comparable setting
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise workload, work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of staff and to work well within and across teams
  • Experience and understanding of customer relationship management and/or customer service
  • Proven ability to use initiative, adopt a creative approach to problem solving, and exercise judgement in order to consult on and refer issues appropriately
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience of MS Office packages
  • Sound numeracy skills, with the ability to compile, interpret and report on statistical and financial data
  • Experience of marketing campaign planning and delivery including an understanding of different channels and measuring impact
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proof reading skills with an ability to write for multimedia print and digital marketing, ensuring the style is appropriate to the medium, message and audience
