Job Description

Marine Engineer / Electrical Marine Engineer / Electrical Offshore Engineer required to join a leading Marine Engineering Distributor.The Successful Marine Engineer / Electrical Marine Engineer / Electrical Offshore Engineer will provide electrical, electronic, and control system overhauls and repair onboard customer vessels UK-wide and Globally.The Marine Engineer / Electrical Marine Engineer / Electrical Offshore Engineer will ideally have a marine engineering background in motors, pumps, generators, compressors, switchboards, or similar electro-mechanical equipment.Package£40,000 - £50,000OvertimeCompetitive offshore allowances25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pensionAdditional benefitsMarine Engineer / Electrical Marine Engineer / Electrical Offshore Engineer roleTo provide electrical, electronic, and control system overhauls and repair onboard customer vessels UK-wide and Globally.The Electrical Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, and provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of marine and offshore equipment motors, pumps, generators, compressors, switchboards, or similar electro-mechanical equipment.Carry out surveys, installation, commissioning activities, troubleshooting and diagnosticsPerform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs Liaise with various engineering departments.Marine Engineer / Electrical Marine Engineer / Electrical Offshore Engineer requirementsProven experience carrying out major medium and high-speed engine overhaulsExperience as an Electrical Marine Engineer, Electrical Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, M&E Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer, or similar in Marine Engineering.Be prepared to travel Worldwide, sometimes at short notice with anti-social hours when vessels are in port.Basic Network communications and diagnostics, IP-based systemsInstrumentation communication, E.g.: RS232, RS485, Modbus, CAN bus, EthernetHSE knowledgeEngineering background motors, pumps, generators, compressors, switchboards, or similar electro-mechanical equipment. Full product training provided.An engineering qualification would be advantageousWillingness to commute to Newcastle, travel UK and wide and globally when required.
