Job Description

Manager - Development & Infrastructure RiskClosing Date - 11th July 2023Interviews - week commencing 17th and 24th July 2023A bit about the role…You will join a specialist risk team which provides governance, risk and assurance advice and support to the first line teams responsible for managing our Development, Infrastructure Grants & Loans and Building Safety programmes and activities. You willhelp to introduce and embed best practice risk disciplines and processes across the Agency and Government, and will play an important role in building knowledge, skills, capacity, and a risk culture.Working as part of an experienced and supportive team, you will help to provide an agile and collaborative risk service to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Directors and Senior Responsible Owners across the Development, Investment, and Markets Partners& Places directorates to support the delivery of a range of complex interventions within the Agency’s risk appetite. The Development & Infrastructure Risk team acts as the second line risk function, providing specialist risk expertise to directorates thatare collectively responsible for delivery of a range of interventions currently utilising over £12bn of recoverable and non-recoverable funding.A bit about you…You will be educated to degree level or will have broad ranging equivalent experience and you may hold a relevant post-graduate or professional qualification. You will be able to deal with diverse and complex risk matters across multiple activities and fundingprogrammes.You will have experience of promoting sound and commercially focussed risk management principles and practices within a public/ private sector environment. You will have strong communications skills and be able to negotiate with a wide range of senior internaland external stakeholders with conflicting agendas and priorities.You will be able to solve problems and provide practical solutions and approaches to politically sensitive and complex issues across multiple programmes and scenarios.
