Job Description

Have you heard of Le Petit Chateau, Newton Hall, ChachaBuchi and The Joiners Arms - to mention only some of our amazing venuesHave you seen that we have a new CFO and were ready to build a finance team for the futureHave you the energy, passion and pace to join the North Easts premier leisure operator of bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, hotels and wedding venuesWell look no furtherBased in Jesmond, in Newcastle City Centre, were looking for a Management Accountant to join our new finance structure within our expanding Finance team.With a turnover of £20M and over 13 large vibrant venues; were looking for an individual who is seeking stability, who loves to finance business partner to add real value, and is looking to be rewarded for going the extra mile.Reporting to the Group FC; this role will take responsibility for the provision of accurate and timely financial management information to support the aims and objectives of our business.Responsibilities will include -

  • Supporting the Finance and Operations Teams and encouraging professional and effective relationships
  • Management of stock reporting, gross profit and margin analysis
  • Producing financial reports and analysis
  • Presenting insightful financial information to enable business decision making
  • Proactively looking to streamline and simplify processes and reporting
  • Ensuring Apartment Group financial controls are in place and appropriate processes are being followed
The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience including-
  • Part-qualified accountant qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (preferably hospitality)
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel (including business modelling & report building)
  • Ability to manipulate data and experience of carrying out detailed analysis of data and provide the results that are easily understood to external auditors and senior management
  • Planning, organising and prioritising workload, including co-ordinating with others and ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Holding excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sage experience is desired but not essential
