Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to work for this successful company. Your duties are as follows:

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Responsible for profit and loss account and balance sheet, including month end journal posting
  • Analysis of P&L costs and preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Stock accounting and analysis, challenging information with production department
  • Investigation of materials and labour manufacturing cost variances and review of product margins
  • Assistance with estimating of new project costs
  • Management of fixed asset register and fixed asset accounting
  • Review of process and putting controls in place to manage spending
  • Completion of monthly VAT returns
  • Preparing and collating deferred duty information
  • Assistance with preparation of plc company and trading company statutory accounts and with the external statutory audit
  • Assistance in budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis and justifications
  • Payroll cover when required
You will be a part qualified Accountant and have experience of working in a manufacturing company. You will have been involved in the costing process, have excellent numerical skills and have the ability to analyse and summarise complex information. StrongExcel and ERP experience would be an advantage.
