Job Description

Well-established law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks an additional Legal Secretary to provide support to the Employment Law/Dispute Resolution teams. Duties will include; audio and copy typing of letters and documents, liaising with clients, diary management and filing, utilising case management systems.You will need:

  • At least 2 years experience as Legal Secretary in an Employment Law/Litigation department.
  • Good typing skills, audio and copy typing - speed and accuracy. Minimum typing speed 65wpm
  • Good IT skills - proficient in Word and Excel and experience of case management systems.
  • Proficient in PDF document collation of bundles for court hearings.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced busy office.
  • Assisting with billing preparation and invoicing.
  • Answering clients calls regarding new enquiries for the Dispute Resolution and Employment teams.
  • Our client offers an attractive salary package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays pro rata. Healthcare and benefits package. The office hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. The role will be remote at first, due to the lockdown restrictions, but IT equipment will be provided. Part time hours would also be considered. Required skills
