Job Description

Are you an ambitious and hardworking Legal Cashier who is ready for their next challengePerhaps youve come from a larger firm, but youre tired of being confined to the same areas of finance and would relish the variety a smaller firm can give you.If that sounds like you, youll want to keep reading.Whats in it for youYoull be part of a friendly, close-knit team with low turnover, as they have all been there for over 15 years.Think quality over quantity, you wont be processing a high volume of transactions, but they are very high value, so youll add to your experience and skills as an accountant.There are a lot of learning opportunities, and youll receive support from team members with a wealth of experience.The finance team is the go-to for every department within the firm, so you will be an integral part of the team to assist with queries and advice, providing professional support.Youll be a ten-minute walk from Newcastle City Centre, so you could spend your lunch break at one of the many restaurants or spend time with your new team after work, the choice is yours.Commuting is easy with links to Metro stations, as well as the option of onsite parking.And once youre settled in, youll have the option to work from home one day per week.What will you be doingYou will report to the Head of Finance and be responsible for all accounts duties, such as processing purchase ledger invoices, making payments through the online system, and checking and recording all financial transactions.Ensuring compliance at all times with SRA accounts rules and maintaining confidentiality regarding the firm and its clients is key.About youYoull have knowledge and experience of SRA accounts rules, ideally within corporate and employment law.Youll have the confidence to use your initiative, recognising issues and communicating them effectively with the Head of Finance.Attention to detail and accuracy are second nature to you, and youll demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to work.Being ILFM qualified would give you an advantage but is not essential.If youve outgrown your current role and youre ready to take the next step, what are you waiting forClick apply now or contact Natalie at Paul Card Recruitment for a confidential chat to find out more.And dont worry if your CV isnt quite up to date, we can help with that too.All applications will receive a response.
