Job Description

We celebrate multiple approaches andpoints of view and believe diversity drives innovation, so were building a culture where difference is valued.The RoleThe position is based in Newcastle and will report to the L&D Digital Learning Manager.The successful candidate will work closely with the L&D Leadership team to create and manage L&Ds online portfolio of learning materials and resources. Additional administrativeactivities will include, but not be limited to; managing our digital learning catalogue; editing and packaging videos for uploading to the LMS (Cornerstone) as digital learning; building online courses for use by L&D or other internal teams; testing all onlinecontent courses for functionality; updating our SharePoint and intranet site; and liaising with our third party online learning service providers.The successful candidate will also provide an important L&D co-ordination function in that they will, working alongside our existing L&D co-ordination team in Newcastle, provide end-to-end co-ordination support for our internal and external training programmes(held both online and in person).Skills and Experience Required(E: Essential, D: Desirable)

  • Experienced back-end user of a Learning Managing System (LMS) (E)
  • Document management system (for e.g. Microsoft SharePoint) (E)
  • Ability to work with appropriate software to package digital learning content (for e.g., Articulate/Storyline 360 etc.) (E)
  • Multimedia editing software (E)
  • User acceptance testing (D)
  • Demonstrate good aptitude for picking up software from initial/limited training (E)
  • Handle and resolve technical issues (E)
  • Work with minimal supervision after instruction (E)
  • Proactive and positive approach with a "can-do" attitude (E)
  • Ability to think through problems from a fresh point a view; comfortable with ambiguity and complexity (E)
  • Ability to navigate change with confidence and agility (E)
  • Get results under tough conditions and go beyond the norm; exhibit presence that inspires confidence (E)
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills (E)
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills will be required to support a busy team at different levels of seniority (E)
