Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the regions largest business member organisation. Working with business of all sizes and sectors from SME to Multi Nationals, the organisation prides themselves on giving expert knowledge and advice on giving expertknowledge and advice on important issues affecting businesses.In this role, you will drive their knowledge programme and activities through member-led insight, wider analysis and the development of creative strategies and products which deliver measurable impact.The role responsibilities:

  • Develop a creative and rigorous approach to knowledge activity within the organisation. By knowledge they mean independent research, activities and products (reports, blogs etc) which provide their members with tools to help drive their growth and development
  • Use a range of tools and data - from member surveys through to digital engagement data - to assess programme impact and evolve it over time
  • Working with the membership team and external stakeholders to design and deliver a knowledge programme with a differentiated offer for small, medium and large business members.
  • Design and deliver knowledge products including events, seminars, reports, social and traditional media content based on membership insights and wider research
  • Work collaboratively with policy staff to produce insight and analysis to support members, staff and wider stakeholders to understand and shape regional and national policy.
  • Represent the organisation in online, print and broadcast media, as well as writing thought-leadership content for us and third-party outlets
The person were looking for:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent e.g. politics/business/economics/research skills
  • Research and interpretation - using date and insights to tell compelling stories
  • Excellent communication skills (written, presenting, 1-2-1) across a range of audiences
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to create, maintain and promote good working relationships across a wide-range of stakeholders
  • IT skills including knowledge of MS Office applications and ability to use Excel for data manipulation
