Job Description

THE ROLEDelighted to once again be working with a leading technology business who provides a platform to connect anyone working across the design, supply, and construction in the built environment. As the business continues to grow, they need extra support across theIT Support Team in the form of 2 x IT Support Administrators, based in central Newcastle.

  • Salary: £24,000
  • Location:Newcastle City Centre
  • Flexible working:YES. Weeks will vary but you can expect to be able to work on average 2 days from home per week
  • Working Hours:37 hours per week, Monday 9amFriday5pm (1 hour lunch)
  • Holidays:25 days (increases to 28 after service) plus bank holidays
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role you will be providing 2nd line IT assistance across the business. You will be expected to provide support through diagnosing, resolve and closing support requested raised the ticketing system by the internal staff.
  • Configure and deploy IT assets including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software across the business.
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware and software faults.
  • Take ownership of problems through to resolution using remote management tools, deskside assistance and/or telephone.
  • Liaise with external parties for escalated support when required.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support and work within service management principles.
YOUR SKILLSThis is fantastic opportunity to join a successful organisation who place their people at the front of their thoughts. The ideal candidate will come with a degree of experience providing 2nd Line Support however there are opportunities to learn new skills andgrow within the role. You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous 2nd Line Support experience.
  • Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Applications
  • A positive approach to problem solving.
  • Initiative.
  • Good people and communication skills.
Though based in the Newcastle this business has a global presence and you will be assisting people from the UK, Canada, and Australiaso days will not be boring.
