Job Description

An innovative company in central Newcastle are looking for an IT Manager to take over the internal IT Support systems. This role will be responsible for a small team and will have great opportunity to develop professionally. Within this position, you will have the opportunity to bring in new technologies, continuously improve the current practices and mentor more junior members of the team.With the opportunity to take the lead of technical projects, you will have the opportunity to put your own flare on the companies IT practices. Security is of the upmost importance to these employees, so experience working with informationsecurity practices such as GDPR or ISO27001 will be beneficial.Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, management and administration of virtual environments
  • Running Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 using Exchange 2016
  • Use of DNS, DHCP, SQL2017, File Server, Sharepoint, WSUS and Terminal Services facilities.
  • Management of IT facilities throughout the head office and other offices or required venues.
  • Support of Mitel VOIP telephone system planning of future improvements and strategies
  • Development and planning of ICT strategy for the company, including budget management and upgrade programmes
  • Planning and development of new technology and recommendation of improvements to enhance business productivity and efficiency.
  • Management of backup systems with MSP and implementation of Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Development of case management system to improve user productivity and enhance paperless working.
  • Management of IT budgets, contracts & relationships with third party service providers to achieve best value.
  • Development of the IT and security policies for the firm in compliance with GDPR
  • Provide staff training in IT systems
