Location: Base location as required within the Force area, including Home WorkingSalary Banding:Grade D-E £21,399 to £26,016 - whilst undertaking the apprenticeship.Grade F-G £26,244 to £31,725 - on completion of the apprenticeship.This is an exciting development opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within IT. If you have a keen eye for detail, the ability to think outside the box and a passion for providing outstanding service; this could be the role for you.Digital Policing are looking for an ITSM Platform Analyst Apprenticeship to join the Service Delivery team. The role will be instrumental in the design, improvement, and maintenance of the ITSM platform, which sits at the core of all service management activities.At present, the platform includes several Atlassian products, including Jira Service Desk, Insight Asset Management and Confluence. This role will support the ongoing review of platform, to ensure the products meet the Forces expanding requirements.As this is a newly created apprenticeship role, you will be provided with training and mentoring to develop your skills and knowledge of the Jira platform, as well as ITIL Service Management and a wider understanding of core service skills. This developmentopportunity enables an enthusiastic, motivated, and driven individual to further their career, progressing to the role of ITSM Platform Analyst.What will I be doingYou will develop your knowledge and skills on all aspects of the ITSM platform, with the ambition of becoming the subject matter expert of the ITSM platform.You will work with Digital Policing colleagues to improve the ITSM platform, making sure the products are configured to meet the requirements of the Force. This will include performing regular checks to monitor the platforms health and performance, undertakingrequired maintenance, and housekeeping where identified.You will undertake allocated change requests, reviewing user requirements and designing suitable options using the available functionality.We will assess your current educational achievements and agree with you the most appropriate modern apprenticeship training course to support your development and provide you with time in the working week to complete your studies.We will agree a development plan with you and once this has been completed, alongside the apprenticeship course, you will be moved into the full analyst role (Grade F/G).What do I need A positive "can do" attitude with the drive and determination to learn, grow and develop your skills and knowledge. Ability to effectively manage tasks in your allocated workload, sometimes working to tight deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to discuss both business and technical subjects. Ability to think outside of the box to consider the innovative use of technology. Ability to analyse issues and solve sometimes complex problems. A passion for customer service, service management and continuous improvement. A desire to continue your formal education.
