Inventory AnalystLocation - NewcastleWork timings: 8 to 5pm Mon to Friday 37.5 hours per week (Onsite role)Contract Duration: 6months (Potential to go perm)DescriptionThe successful candidate shall support the inventory team in achieving and maintaining accurate inventory levels, analysis of variances, development of reconciliations, and reporting.We are looking for someone who is a critical thinker and can identify issues, propose solutions, and see them through to resolution.The ability to respond to continuous change and challenges within a fast-paced environment is essential.Essential Responsibilities:Develop and enhance departmental reporting, trend analysis, and dashboards.Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes and see through to implementation.Generate regular reports and provide insights on inventory performance, including turnover rates, stock aging, and forecasting accuracy.Support the month end close process by completing various inventory reports and analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan strategies to optimise stock levels.Train and guide team members on proper inventory management procedures and data entry management.Qualifications/Requirements:Background in Finance or supply chain planning.•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.Certifications; APICS CertificationDesired Characteristics:Proficiency in inventory management software/systems and advanced knowledge of ExcelNot required but additional preferred elements:Basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality
