Job Description

My client, a leading organisation in the North East is seeking to appoint an Interim Finance Manager to join their growing team to report into the Senior Finance Business Partner.Client DetailsWell known business in the North East.Description

  • Lead on all elements of admin budget areas, developing tools and techniques to analyse and report on budgetary performance.
  • Develop methodologies to forecast and model expected admin spend which support the development of budget models
  • Identify system and process improvements in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal reporting.
  • Preparation of detailed annual budgets and long term forecasts for programme income and expenditure.
  • Management of cashflow forecasting and grant-in-aid drawdown to ensure that the agency is adequately funded and provides accurate forecasts to sponsor body
  • Significant contribution to the preparation of monthly performance and other reports for both admin and programme areas
  • Responsible for production of performance management information including variance reporting on both financial and outputs performance
  • Responsible for supporting elements of the production of the annual accounts, including significant involvement in the annual audit process
Profile
  • Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent
  • Significant relevant experience in a financial support role
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant experience in public/private sector in an accounting environment is preferable but not essential
  • Experience in a multi-site processing environment
  • Dealing with high volume, high value transactions
  • Good knowledge of relevant systems and controls
  • Good technical accountancy knowledge essential
  • Experience in budget preparation and monitoring essential
Job Offer
  • An excellent day rate is available for the successful candidate.
  • Potential extensions could be available also after an initial 6 month contract.
