Job Title: Interactive Designer / Senior Interactive Designer Location: Newcastle / Hybrid working Salary: Up to £50k depending on experience Our client, a global strategic design and innovation company based in Newcastle, are on the lookout for talented Interaction Designers to join their elite team. This world leading organisation works with some of the best known brands and most innovative start-ups,helping them to plan, create and deliver integrated product and brand experiences that people will love. Their Digital Product and Experience team is a talented unit of interaction designers, graphic designers, developers, creative technologists and digital artists. They are responsible for maintaining and developing this organisations world class reputation aspioneers in design and innovation in the digital space. Skills and experience: A good understanding of the design process, from concept through to development, including communicating and understanding technical constraints with development teams. The ability to think and communicate new ideas quickly with clients and team members. Great conceptual directions backed up with good visualisation skills and appreciation of the brand. Proficiency to create prototypes across different media. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Affects and XD. Figma and Webflow experience would also be beneficial. Candidates must have experience of working as a team to develop design concepts, as well as working independently. Must be confident to communicate inspiring ideas; from excellent sketch work through to the successful prototyping of ideas. Creative thinker; should understand and be able to interpret brand, appreciating how product interacts with consumers to create solutions that bring together all of these parts. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the wider team to support a broad range of design briefs, ranging from defining future device interactions, product interfaces, apps, website and product identity tools. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Interaction Design (or similar) and have experience within an agency or consultancy environment. Candidates must have relevant software knowledge and experience and be able to back up their experience with appropriate portfolio.
