Job Description

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a college based in the North East to recruit an Infrastructure engineer on a permanent basis. This role will initially be remote with occasional travel to their Newcastle based Data centre.As an infrastructure engineer you will be required to:

  • Administer and support of servers, storage, desktop, backup, server O/S, AD, email, virtualisation and Cloud platforms (Azure/O365)
  • Ensuring all systems, processes and standards are fully documented and available.
  • Follow departmental and organisation policies and best practice.
  • Contribute where required to projects in collaboration with colleagues on the project team and stakeholders
  • Provide support to staff, students and colleagues where required.
    • Key skills & experience required:
  • IT systems support experience
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following :Enterprise Backup, Anti-virus, Server/Storage hardware, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange, Office 365
  • Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms administration experience
  • Minimum of 1 year Microsoft active directory experience
  • Strong troubleshooting & fault diagnosis
