About the TeamWe are a small team who work within our suppliers Test Centres in various locations throughout the UK, this is a customer facing role and our team is responsible for verifying candidate’s documents and identities when visiting the Test Centres to take theirOSCE exam. About the roleWe are recruiting for an ID Verification Officer to join our existing team based in the Test of Competence centre.This is an exciting and unique position within the NMC. You will be working alongside our suppliers and meeting with overseas candidates who are wishing to join the NMC register and are therefore attending the centre to take the Objective Structured ClinicalExam (OSCE).The role holder will primarily conduct ID verification checks using questioning and investigation techniques ensuring a high standard of security and attention to detail. The postholder will also undertake other high end administration duties. About YouThe successful candidate will:- Have previous experience in administration, ideally in a customer service role, and of dealing professionally with queries and requests via email and phone.-Be able to manage their own time well and enjoy tackling the variety of tasks that this role includes.-Be organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise a varied workload to ensure that deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality customer service.-Take a kind, fair and clear approach whilst communicating with the team, our customers, and suppliers, and be able to build and maintain good working relationships.-Enjoy collaborating as part of a small team but be confident to work independently.-Comfortable taking ownership of problems and being resourceful in resolving them.-Strong attention to detail.-Adapt to change, new practices, and cope under pressure.The successful candidate will be based on site in Northumbria.
