Health & Safety Manager - Northern Region - NEBOSHOur client is one of the largest digital and physical data management companies in the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are now looking for a motivated, experienced and NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager to be responsible for the Northern territory across multiple sites.This is a genuine opportunity with clear progression and personal development working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for training, teaching, managing, advising, assessing and improving our clients health and safety processes and procedures.The person needs to be flexible in their outlook and application of safety as the role, on occasion, requires difficult decisions to be made. The role may necessitate a flexible approach to working hours and will occasionally involve an overnight stay.This position offers tangible scope to further your career within the H&S sector with a reputable organisation.Essential Requirements:·Candidates must hold the NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.·Home-based with regional travel/overnight stays·Ability to Train and Develop employees·Full Drivers Licence·A sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and its application to the work environment·Experience in managing health and safety in a dynamic workplace environment.·Experience of developing and providing health and safety training at all levels.·Able to problem solve and deal with difficult situations in a professional manner.·A sound knowledge of MS OfficeResponsibilities:·Provide advice, guidance and training in line with government guidelines and legislation as well as best practice.·Attend and proactively contribute to relevant Health and Safety forums·Complete suitable and sufficient risk assessments for individual colleagues and the business·Develop health and safety plans and procedures according to legal requirements as a minimum.·Evaluate and update policies and procedures in conjunction with the Safety Team.·Carry out safety audits and inspections and provide appropriate coaching.·Monitor health and safety compliance at site level·Provide learning and development forums for health and safety matters appertaining to our clients operations·Conduct and advise on accident investigations giving proactive solutions·Manage the in-house accident reporting system·Carry out fire risk assessmentsSalary & Application:Depending on experience, qualifications and relevant skills related to the position, our client will ensure the successful applicant receives a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 - £45,000 (flexible for outstanding applicants) including car, pension, healthcare, benefits, laptop, phone and expenses.Please submit your CV via this portal or contact the office on the details provided for further information.
