The purpose of this role is to help young children to develop their physical skills, giving them a head start in the world of physical exercise by following our CNGA Pre-school programme.coaching the CNGA Way and implementing skills such as balance and co-ordination whilst laying the foundations of a healthy, active lifestyle.All sessions should be fun, energetic and entertaining to ensure all who part-take are achieving their full potential.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Instil CNGA’s Strategic Plan upholding our Equity and Safeguarding policies, providing a duty of care to all young members and staffLead our Pre-school programme and have the ability to lead the teamDevelop and deliver fun filled, structured session for children below 5 yearsCoach with a positive attitude whilst ensuring a safe environment.Approachable whilst being proactive to promote a good quality of customer serviceSet up a safe gym environment, ensuring safe skill advancement on all equipmentEnsure correct technique is used while supervising and spotting gymnastsAdapt equipment for age, ability, and size of gymnastTo have good time management skills along with your teamTo arrive 10 minutes before your work hours to ensure set up prior to class starting timeProvide a warm welcome for both parents and children alike.Assist future planning and curriculum enhancements for preschool programsTo communicate well with both parents and very young gymnast providing feedback on progress and performanceTo provide feedback on any child’s progress and performanceInspire confidenceProvide up to date administration data e.g. registers, lesson plans and a little knowledge of word and excelLearn our booking system and payments structure.Assist at our CNGA events and competitionProvide coaching/mentor support for your teamDemonstrate an element by breaking the task down into a safe and effective sequence (progressions)Undertake personal and professional development in order to further knowledge and experience.Comply with health and safety policy and guidelines at all timesComply with British Gymnastics Safeguarding guidelines at all timesUndertake other appropriate duties as assignedLead and supervise classes with boys and girls ages 18 months to 5 years old (preschool age)Ensure classes are staffed correctly and cover is arranged when needed for classes.Ensure controlled class management enabling reasonable time for each gymnast for each planned activity.Be able to work on your own initiative and able to motivate your teamAble to promote one’s self and team to provide an excellent customer-focused approach.Ensure pre-school programmes are running at maximum capacity.DescriptionEssential / DesirableQualification minimum Level 3 (or working towards)Desirable/EssentialExcellent communication/interpersonal skillsEssentialEnthusiasm for pre-school gymnasticsEssentialBe able to coach gymnasts at a very young ageEssentialA sensitive and supportive approachEssentialPhysical stamina - fit enough to support very young children and able to set out equipmentEssentialPerseverance and patienceEssentialEffective team workingEssentialPrior experience working with pre-school age kids.EssentialAble to work primarily mornings and afternoons but also some evenings and weekends.EssentialAbility to work cohesively as part of a team.EssentialThe ability to effectively communicate with parents, kids, and other staffEssential
