Job Description

Blair West is supporting a PE-backed organisation in the hospitality and leisure industry, headquartered in Gosforth. Due to ongoing growth, this role joins a wider team reporting into the Head of Finance.This is a full-time hybrid position in a group function that gives exposure to a fast-paced work environment with internal progression. The opportunity:

  • Preparing the monthly financial accounts pack including control of month end Group Finance team routine.
  • Management of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, production of monthly balance sheet review documents, including key highlights for escalation.
  • Balance sheet and cashflow forecasting and budgeting.
  • Accounting for and reporting on balance sheet areas including investments, goodwill, inter-company balances, finance costs, and equity.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly Board reports, particularly working capital management and balance sheet analysis.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS for group and all subsidiary companies.
  • Preparation for external audit, provision of information to auditors and key liaison with external audit team.
  • Assistance in preparation of reporting to investors.
Youll be the ideal candidate for this position if youre:
  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • First or second time mover from a Practice environment.
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Highly IT literate with advanced excel modelling skills
