Job Description

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, with some flexible workingWe are working in partnership with a charity who for 130 years we have been working with children and young people in their families, schools, and communities to ensure they grow up healthy and happy. Their support services focus on those periods in growingup when a little help can make a big difference to a childs life and future.They are now seeking a temporary Fundraising Manager who will work with fundraising colleagues to play a vital role in raising funds and donations from a wide range of businesses, community groups, funders, educational establishments andindividuals through events, activities, campaigns, and appeals. You will manage key relationships and help reach new supporters, communicating the range of services and projects supporting babies, children, young people, and their families to engage peopleto support their work.The successful candidate will have proven experience:

  • Experience and proven success in income generation
  • Growing and sustaining income from a variety of fundraising areas
  • Experience of achieving financial targets and key objectives
  • Stewardship and relationship management experience with a range of charity donors and supporters
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal for a wide range of purposes and audiences
  • Able to build rapport with a range of stakeholders face-to-face, by email and by phone
  • Experience of working with digital fundraising platforms such as JustGiving
The temporary Senior Fundraiser will be a great advocate of the charitys work to promote the public face of the charity. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with a very wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally.A rapid learner to quickly understand the nature of the charity, its services and aims. You will be a creative, flexible and strategic thinker with a high level of resilience.
