Job Description

And you get these Red-Hot Rewards from day one!We need our Risk team to make sure that we are a responsible and safe pair of hands for our customers and investors money. We are looking for someone who shares our passion to build a better kind of bank and has the determination to help us be successfulin this mission.You would be joining the Financial Risk & Model Risk Oversight team at an exciting time. We are a really collegiate team and there is lots of room for personal development. Youll help to secure the foundations of our business decisions by providing quantitativeand qualitative analysis to support the Groups management of financial risks.Heres what youll be doing:
  • Ensuring that the Bank maintains appropriate controls to support its use of advanced Credit Models by managing a self-assessment process and providing constructive criticism and challenge;
  • Identifying ways to support the Banks strategy to optimise the use of Capital;
  • Support the ICAAP and ACS processes through appropriate review and oversight;
  • Support the implementation of potential regulatory changes from BCBS, EBA and PRA;
  • Keeping abreast of industry best practice developments and prudential regulatory developments;
  • Oversight of key capital processes including targeted oversight reviews;
  • Attending and contributing to project and business committees and forums;
  • Identifying, building and maintaining relationships between the team and senior business stakeholders;
  • Role modelling CYBG Values and Behaviours ensuring all tasks are completed to expected standards.
To be successful youll need to bring
  • The ability to deliver a high standard of written and verbal communication;
  • Ability to manage the needs of multiple stakeholders;
  • Proven analytical skills in reviewing information and identifying key business impacts;
  • An ability to work on your own initiative;
  • A good understanding of the regulatory landscape and, in particular the PRA and EBA rulebooks, with an appetite to keep this knowledge up to date;
  • The desire to support the Banks digital strategy.
We would like you to have
  • Experience of working with and interpreting prudential regulation;
  • Knowledge of key prudential regulatory document submissions for example, ICAAP and regulatory capital returns;
  • Understanding of credit and capital risk management;
  • Awareness of the Bank of Englands Annual Cyclical Stress Test.
