Job Description

Werenot like other banksand we want you to help us be even more exceptional.Financial Crime Risk is a second line of defence (2LOD) function responsible for defining and ensuring the application of risk management, insight and oversight across a range of Financial Crime risks facing the Bank.In this role youll be responsible for the provision of key insight and analysis on financial crime performance and trends. This insight and analysis will be key to informing key stakeholders of the exposure the firm has to financial crime risk and the effectivenessof our control environment. Youll generate, manage and interrogate MI to identify areas for opportunity and provide independent assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls designed to mitigate financial crime risk. Youll also work with the widerFinancial Crime teams to deliver any enhancements.The role in a nutshell Will involve the practical application tools including SAS/SQL (or equivalent analytical tools) and Excel to translate the output of analytics data into an understandable and usable format Will produce accurate and insightful Financial Crime MI used within governance committees, risk reporting and by key stakeholders across the Group Require excellent attention to detail and a proven track record of designing and delivering a suite of KPIs and management information and associated insights Require excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to communicate analytical insights in straight forward languageTo be brilliant you must have Some experience of successfully working within an analytics function within the financial services Practical and evidential experience of using SAS / SQL or equivalent analytical tools and Excel to develop data driven solutions Have a proven track record in production of performance MI and analysis The ability to challenge effectively and make suggested changes where you think things could be enhancedWe would like you to have (but not essential)...
