Job Description

Finance OfficerOur client is a prominent social care charity, established in the region for almost 80 years, which provides high-quality, person-centred care and support to the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged. It now seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Officerto produce financial and management information to inform the organisation’s decision making.Reporting to the FC, as Finance Officer, you will:

  • accurately process transactions, including purchase ledger, donated income, banking and petty cash
  • raise customer invoices and other documentation
  • maintain customer and supplier ledgers
  • ensure debts are monitored and any queries resolved
  • participate in service inspections
  • produce monthly reports
  • support colleagues with sales ledger and month end reporting
  • manage and prioritise several activities simultaneously whilst working to timescales
As Finance Officer, you will need:
  • previous experience as a Finance Officer
  • an AAT or higher qualification
  • excellent spreadsheet skills
  • good understanding of accounting double entry
  • experience of computerised accounting systems, such as Sage
  • the ability to prioritise projects
  • the ability to work flexibly and deliver on time
Salary & Benefits:
