And you get these Red Hot Rewards from day one!You will be responsible for delivering an environment of outstanding performance, service and delivery as measured through meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines and maintaining strong service relationships with Finance, Financial Planning& Analysis and Business Partnering.A desire to disrupt the status quo will be essential, as this role will influence the part Finance will play in our ambition to be the UKs leading Digital Bank, and alignment with our strategic Data Fabric operating model.You will report to the Lead Manager Business Banking Finance and the role is integral to delivering granular management reporting to key stakeholders to support business strategies, targets and objectives.This role also involves statutory accounts production, engagement in the audit process and the completion of regulatory returns for relevant areas. It therefore requires significant technical knowledge, practical systems ability and communication skills.As a role model for the business and the broader team the role holder will establish themselves as the trusted and sought out contact for all Financial Control matters in respect of the Business Bank.Well ask you to
  • Produce timely and accurate management accounts and KPI reporting as required for Business Banking, including commentary on movements against plan and prior periods.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries for Business banking, and related Business banking subsidiary entities.
  • Preparation / review of P&L and Balance sheet reconciliations of relevant business banking accounts.
  • Execution of the EIR accounting for business banking products.
  • Take ownership of ledger accounting rules (Calypso, Kapiti and Millennium) and mappings as related to business banking products.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and controls as well as maintaining suitable procedure documentation. Where possible suggest and execute improvements to the financial governance within the business banking accounting area.
  • Where appropriate, assist in the preparation of external Group Reporting e.g., VMUK ARA.
  • Production / review of IFRS compliant statutory accounts for subsidiary entities and liaising with external auditors.
  • Preparation/ review of quarterly FINREP returns which align with the teams reporting responsibilities.
  • Prepare / review as required by Reg Reporting team of other related Regulatory returns (e.g., CCA Returns).
