Job Description

The RoleFinance Manager - Central Newcastle - Hybrid Working - Not for ProfitI am privileged to be working with Connected Voice to hire a Finance Manager at their central Newcastle HQ. This is a mix of day to day finance management, managing a team of seven and involvement with the FD around the charitys strategy. Some key responsibilitiesof the role include:

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance team
  • Management accounts
  • Set up bookkeeping contracts for new clients
  • Submission of accounts to relevant authorities
  • Oversee payroll service
  • Developing systems and procedures
  • Support the FD in delivering business plans
The OrganisationConnected Voice is a charity that provides free advice and support to people and organisations to help them make a positive difference, as well as ethical accountancy that directly funds the charitable work. This role will be the finance manager for the BusinessServices arm, which provides accountancy services to over 100 local charities in the North East. They have recently won a raft of awards across advocacy in 2022 and are moving soon into new offices in Newcastle.The PersonSome key aspects of the successful finance manager will include showing the following:
  • Experience and confidence in managing a team
  • AAT-qualification of higher/equivalent
  • Relatability to how you can work with charitable accounts and associated regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working pattern
  • Acumen with working with a varied selection of external stakeholders
