Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the accurate and timely recording of supplier invoices, ensuring payment of invoices in line with the prompt payment code. - Monitoring of cash position and treasury management if required.- Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including bank accounts.- Responsible for business banking, payment of suppliers and people.- Oversee the accurate and timely invoicing to clients, including the credit control process.- Oversee the petty cash and credit card process.- Credit checking potential and new clients and the ongoing credit checks of the existing client base.- Management of new suppliers, ensuring they adhere to our existing policies and requirements.- Production of internal monthly financial reporting and KPIs.- Liaising with the external accountants on accurate completion of the annual financial / statutory accounts and audit.- Working with external accountants review and complete the quarterly VAT return.- Assist in the preparation of finance information and analysis to support all areas of the business and further improve business performance.- Assisting with the budget and forecast process.- Preparing information and reports, client profitability, utilisation of time ensuring the project management system is used in the best and most appropriate way.- Ensure appropriate insurance in place for all areas of the business.- Work closely with the team responsible for the ongoing review, implementation and execution of internal requirements to support all accreditations currently held (e.g. ISOs) and identify any future appropriate certifications to support the ongoing business. - As part of a team proactively manage the business and operational risk registers through the completion of quarterly risk assessment reviews with key people.- Through liaising with the GDPR consultant ensure the appropriate polices and controls are in place to remain compliant with GDPR regulations.- Oversee the internal administration procedures for processing data- Cover for other members of the team as and when required.- Ad hoc projects as and when required.Personal Skills / Attributes Skills:- Excellent organisational and planning skills, ability to manage a varied workload- Strong communicator with all people in the business- Attention to detail- Good interpersonal/influencing skills- Recognised Finance qualification or working towards one.- Solid business understanding- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions- Understanding and interpretation of financial dataAttributes:- Maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and empathy.- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues- Motivated and able to work alone or within a team. - Honest and trustworthy- Flexible, adaptable and ability to try different approaches to achieve an outcome- Sound work ethics, reliable- Proactive and resilient
