The Mortgage Business Partner is a key link between all areas of Finance, Consumer Lending, Treasury, Operations and Risk. The role is responsible providing highly focused financial forecasting, expertiseand value-added analysis on all elements of Mortgage lending.The role in a nutshellReporting to the Senior Mortgage Finance Business Partner, youll be responsible for providing mortgage financial forecasting, reporting and analysis to senior management and direct reports, providing insights and forward thinking. Youll also be responsiblefor the interpretation and explanation of financial position including trend analysis, commentary on major themes and highlighting key areas of interest. Youll develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.Heres what youll be doing
  • Supporting the Mortgage strategy setting and implementation with provision of financial forecasting.
  • Provision of data led analytics that underpin financial forecasts.
  • Working with businesses & functions to effectively challenge, validate and achieve initiatives/delivery plans.
  • Supporting the Business with new product and proposition design aligned to strategy and within key financial metrics.
  • Identifying and appropriately communicate mortgage opportunities and threats to current financial forecasts.
  • Production of key financial forecasting for Stress Testing.
  • Supporting performance reporting progress to LT and Board.
To be successful youll need to bring...
  • Strong track record of delivering results in a financial environment.
  • Strong financial modelling skills using up to date analytical and forecasting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills gained in a financial environment.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across the business to support and challenge key financial assumptions.
  • Knowledge of key market influences and associated risks within the financial industry with an ability to identify threats and opportunities with latest financial forecasting.
  • Post graduate professional qualification in finance, business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

  • A sound understanding of commercial constructs, product development and financial analysis techniques.
