  • Annual salary between £30-37k based on experience and qualifications ( Must be qualified )
  • Full time/ Permanent position
  • Working hours of Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 5.00pm
  • Holiday entitlement (27-32 days) plus bank holidays and extra time off at Christmas (subject to variation)
  • Birthdays off in addition to holiday entitlement
  • Holiday Purchase Schemeability to buy an extra three days
  • Homeworking with flexibility
  • Paid emergency time off for dependants
THE ROLEYour work will primarily involve privately paid mediation in divorce and financial matters for both married and unmarried families and children/co-parenting issues. In addition, you will provide legal advice and representation for family clients where requiredand when you have capacity. The core responsibilities will be
  • To undertake mediation work for clients regarding divorce and finances for both married and unmarried families and private children matters.
  • To undertake legal work in support of mediation or generally for family clients
  • Uphold exceptional standards of quality and client care
  • Advise, assist and represent clients, maintaining an exceptionally high standard of client care at all times
  • Balance the demands of your clients/caseload and non-casework responsibilities, ensuring you meet any deadlines set
  • Promote and adhere to all file and case management policies and procedures
THE PERSONAn absolute MUST to apply for this position is that you are a qualified solicitor between NQ,PQE,PQE2 PQE3 level with the below experience levels
  • Accredited family mediator
  • Other relevant achievements/ Qualifications e.g. Resolution specialist accreditation, membership of panels relevant to the post, other FMC qualifications (CIM, PPC)
  • Appropriate work experience (2 years+ PQE in family law)Experience of family mediation work
  • Familiarity with the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and a commitment to best practice
  • Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to manage own caseload and supervise the caseload of others
