Our work has been nationally recognised as making an outstanding contributionto the health and well-being of local communities by the Kings Fund.Following the retirement of the current Director, Healthworks is now looking to appoint a Director of Finance and Business Development to support the execution of the charitys ambitious vision. The appointed person will contribute to the development ofstrategy across all areas of the charity as a key member of a dynamic senior leadership team. You will be a key player in creating and maintaining the performance of Healthworks financial services and the development of corporate sponsorship and commercialopportunities. You will challenge assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, safeguarding Healthworks resources by promoting their efficient and effective deployment and provide first-class financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targetsand business drivers.The successful candidate will be someone who can take a great finance function and use it to drive strategic delivery. You will help develop, operationalise and report against organisational strategy and be a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, the leadershipteam and our TrusteesThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIPFA,CIMA, ICAEW, ACMA, ACCA) and have previous experience of leading a finance team (function), preferably, but not essentially, in the 3rd Sector, and reporting into a Chief Executive.You will work closely with current commissioners from the NHS, Local Authorities and Trusts and look to develop further strategic business growth through financial horizon scanning, corporate sponsorship opportunities, strategic grants and other commercialopportunities.The successful candidate will embrace and reflect the values upheld by Healthworks.
