Job Description

The CompanyThis opportunity has arisen for our client based in the North East. Due to an increase in work load they have a requirement for a Design Engineer to join their team. If you have 3D solidworks experience and are from a fabrication background then this rolecould be ideal for you.The Role

  • Issue of detailed accurate Solidworks 3D drawings for client approval and for manufacturing purposes complying with EN1090 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Understanding and communication to the business of client requirements to minimise risk of customer receiving defective product.
  • Adhere to reasonable client expectation on delivery.
  • Working closely with the existing team.
  • To identify opportunities for improvement.
  • To understand capabilities and work load and effectively prioritise workload.
  • Ongoing improvements to CRM functionality.
  • Preparation of solidworks 3D drawings.
  • Client interface and site visits.
  • Assisting engineers to estimate new work.
  • Engineering (with assistance if required ) new work.
  • Working in line with ISO9001 and EN1090 requirements.
The Person
  • Engineering background preferably in Fabrication.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Solid works (3D).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to effectively manage work through to production.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience in CRM.
