Job Description

Were Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide.Our Newcastle office is currently recruiting for a DE&I Assistant on a 12 Month FTC. We celebrate multiple approaches and points of view and believe diversity drives innovation, so were building aculture where difference is valued.The Role:The DE&I team comprise of a Head of Diversity & Social Impact, a DE&I Manager, and a DE&I Advisor based in London. This role will be based in Newcastle and the role holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the DE&I function andthe wider business where appropriate. The role holder will work collaboratively with the DE&I and wider people and culture team to ensure the delivery of a high level, accurate service and will ensure the timely delivery of administrative tasks.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting and working collaboratively with the business and employee networks in their areas of DE&I, providing event coordination support to our internal stakeholder.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications. This includes: coordinating the internal blog, supporting the completion of awards submissions and benchmarks, writing copy for printed and online media including flyers, brochures and posters, plasma messages,news items, invitations and newsletters
  • Maintains the DE&I calendar of events and works alongside our events team and networks to ensure firm wide coordination with DE&I workstreams
  • Complete general administration duties relating to DE&I as required including, monitoring the DE&I inbox, processing DE&I invoices and coordinating DE&I inductions
  • Working with our data analytics team to gather the necessary data, statistics and employee information to produce internal D&I metrics and dashboard
  • Participate in key D&I initiatives, programmes and projects as needed within specified timeframes
  • Support the delivery of our flagship work experience programme
  • Shows a positive approach and interest in the world of DE&I
Skills and Experience Required:
  • An interest in DE&I/broader HR and is keen to learn more and develop within the team
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with demanding internal clients.
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong GCSEs and A-levels (or equivalent) (A-C).
  • Confident and flexible approach to taking on new tasks and projects
