Acorn Recruitment is working exclusively on behalf of HFL Building Solutions who are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will cover multiple client sites across Newcastle, Durham and Gateshead. ROLE:The Site/Contracts Manager shall be responsible for ensuring that the service delivery is fully in accordance with the Customers requirements. The Site Manager shall be technically qualified, experienced in managing large multi-disciplined maintenance servicesand proficient in communication and organisational skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Establishing and developing a working partnership with the Customer* Managing the successful delivery of all services within the scope of the specification* Compliance with all statutory, Employers and Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures* Meeting or exceeding all agreed service levels* Ensuring attainment of customer satisfaction* Development of performance measurements and monthly reports* Financial management within agreed budgets and targets* Seeking and developing with the Customer opportunities for innovative cost reductions* Maintaining a high level of employee morale* Developing and retaining an in depth knowledge of all critical systems both mechanical and electrical, and associated controls systems critical to the Critical Business Operations* Understanding the integrated operations of each system and their critical interfaces * Making operational systems judgements and decisions based on good engineering practice and essential service requirements, in order to ensure continuity of service* Liaising with the Site based maintenance Staff, Sub-Contractors and other Site based operational departments to ensuring good communications. * Day to day management of the Shift Teams including instructing Shift Supervisors on their daily operational and maintenance duties and responsibilities* The preparation of quotations and estimates for new works projects* Being aware of all sub-contract maintenance activities* Fulfilling the roles of authorised persons for boilers, pressure vessels, confined spaces and fuels, oils and lubricants. * Attending liaison meetings with the Customer* Developing and presenting impact assessments for Critical Plant and systems to demonstrate to the Customer the risk to the Critical Business* Operations during the proposed maintenance routines* Assisting with H&S, QA and team training by disseminating training* To provide support to the incident management group when called upon* Make recommendations for improving the services and the way how the building is managedSKILLS:* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal* General working as part of a team* Must be highly customer focused* Team player is essential* Flexible attitude is essential* Good telephone skills* Good IT and organisational skills* Well developed interpersonal skillsQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/MEMBERSHIP/COURSES:* Basic Education - Grammar, Technical or Secondary to minimum O level standard in Mathematics, Physics and English* Technical Education - HND/HNC Electrical or mechanical or equivalentTRADE EXPERIENCE: * Experience in the Operation and Maintenance of complex building services installation* Some specialist training in the following disciplines: Refrigeration, controls, air conditioning, combustion, high voltage sub-stations, computerised maintenance, safety and Permit to Work SystemsBENEFITS: * 31 days annual leave (inclusive of statutory) * Competitive salary dependent on experience* Company iPhoneAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
