Job Description

Were working with a Newcastle City Centre based business to recruit day-shift Security Campus Support Officers.Candidates should be able to build relationships with colleagues and customers while remaining assertive and maintaining a safe environment.A door supervisor license is not essential but supervisory experience would be beneficial.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Crime prevention, patrols and emergency response
  • Identifying, assessing, and responding to crime prevention issues including buildings and property
  • Providing advice to victims or potential victims of crime
  • Conducting foot and mobile patrols to prevent crime, vandalism/damage to property and breaches of the peace, including:
    • Surveillance activity (including the use of CCTV overt and covert)
    • Building checks
    • Opening and closing buildings
    • Identify hazards/problems
  • To respond to occurrences in Halls of Residences
  • To assist in all matters to do with the general wellbeing, safety, security and conduct of residents
  • The post holder is responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and or any other persons who may be affected by their actions or non-action
  • Adhere to the Department Code of good quality care, professional practice and procedures
  • Carry out any routine task necessary for Health, Safety and Wellbeing of students, staff and visitors
