Job Description

Call Centre Agent - Collections Newcastle City Centre£20,500 starting basic, rising to £21,500 + Bonus Do you have experience within a Call Centre environment Are you looking for a role where you can take on more responsibility and manage your own case load Do you want to work for a global company with excellent progression opportunities If so, look nofurther!The Call Centre Agent role:As a call centre agent, you will be the first person that people speak to when they ring in. You will be working on behalf of a leading energy provider in their collections department. Due to the nature of the calls that you will be receiving, you will bespeaking to vulnerable customers. Therefore, the main duties or the call centre agent will include building a great rapport with customers while also using your objection handling skills to see if any form of payment can be made.Daily duties of the Call Centre Agent include:

  • Dealing with both outbound & inbound calls from customers who are in debt
  • Working through a set data list, ensuring all calls get made within a set time frame
  • Understanding root causebehind debt, implementing payment plans to recover debt as quickly & sustainably as possible.
  • Attempting to recover the debt owed- either in full or partially
  • Following a scripted conversation to ensure company processes are followed accurately
  • Updating account profiles on our in-house systems
  • Maintaining a professional image for ourselves and our clients

Requirements of the Call Centre Agent role:
  • A minimum of 6 months experience within the Call Centre or Collections sector.
  • Clear criminal and credit records
  • References to cover the last 3 years of employment.
  • Computer literate with the ability to multitask and use multiple systems at any one time.
