Your company aims to grow to £40m turnover within 10 years and create a global brand and network. This growth will result in a multitude of opportunities becoming available for you, such as team management, internationalsales, national corporate sales, Head of Business Development or potentially sales directorship as the current sales director plans to retire within the next 3-5 years and is ready to develop a replacement. Your Role - Business Development Manager
  • Enjoy the thrill of hunting new business in a role that is 50% focused business development focused
  • 50% of your time will be focused on managing existing customer relationships
  • Develop end user new business with a view to run them through their extensive distributor network
  • Work closely with the Sales Director, developing and attacking a list of high value customers to work on winning over time
  • Travelling to meet customers at least 4 days per week in an area between Derby and Newcastle
  • Regularly researching tender renewals with large prospects, keeping up-to-date with tender timelines.
  • Potential management of sales team members if desired
  • Maintaining the CRM system (NetSuite)
  • Travel to Head Office in Banbury once per month for sales meetings
Your Background - Business Development Manager
  • You must be a proven new business development specialist and have a track record to evidence that
  • You must have experience of selling within the hygiene industry
  • You must be tech savvy enough to navigate their CRM(Netsuite) comfortably and input information daily
  • Must hold a UK driving licence
  • Ideally you will have experience of managing distributor relationships but this is not essential
  • Can be based anywhere between Derby and Newcastle
