Above all, we value the motivation of our people as evidenced by our well-being offer,our capability to facilitate flexible working and our support to enjoy a healthy work life balance.The successful candidate will work as part of an immediate team of three, supporting an Associate and Associate Director, as well as forming part of a much wider team working across the region.The Newcastle Rural Management Team has a strong focus of collaborative approach, and operates as part of the larger multi-disciplinary Savills Newcastle office, alongside teams delivering a range of services including planning, building surveying, developmentconsultancy, industrial and investment agency. The team also works closely with other Savills specialists in the region in areas such as minerals surveying, farm business consultancy and forestry. The local team is supported by the almost-limitless knowledge,resources and research within the national and international Savills network.Key Responsibilities of the RoleThe candidate will play an active role in fulfilling the broad range of Rural Property Management duties on behalf of an interesting portfolio of private and institutional clients. Working as part of our Estate Management team, you will assist with the deliveryof a diverse range of projects and your duties will include:Liaising with Residential, Commercial and Agricultural tenants on matters such as lease renewals, rent reviews, repairs & maintenance and property inspections.Liaising with and instructing contractors on the refurbishment, repairs, maintenance, conservation and preservation of our clients portfolio of properties, including many historic and architecturally important buildingsOverseeing the implementation of environmental stewardship schemeManagement of property lettingsManagement of property compliancesAssisting with valuations of a wide range of assets including agricultural and residential.We are looking to recruit at Staff level depending on skills, experience and knowledge, and we are open to considering applications from those who want to work either full of part time. Whilst previous experience in the management of rural property is desirable,it is not essential, although a strong interest in the countryside is. Full training in the role will be provided. We are interested in hearing from those looking to progress to the next level in their career in Rural Property Management as well as those lookingto take the first step.Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceWe are looking to recruit an individual who is keen to develop a career working on projects associated with rural property and land within a friendly and proactive team.
