Assistant Director - Consumer RiskA bit about the role...The Assistant Director Consumer Risk plays a critical role in the second line management of Home Ownership products. You will lead our small highly skilled Consumer Risk team. This is a rare chance gain experience with a unique customer product offeringthat seeks to balance a return of money back to the public purse whilst ensuring customer fairness.The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around Home Ownership as well as the ongoing management of existing government interventions, the largest of which is Help to Buy. There are some ambitious delivery led projects to getinvolved with especially within account management and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the consumer offering.A bit about youThe day job will ensure Risk principles and adherence are followed but with significant focus on ensuring responsible stakeholders are balancing the needs and demands of the consumer, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will alwaysbe looking for ways to improve and innovate.Youll be comfortable supporting an operational led banking proposition with complex consumer issues, aiming to return money back into the public purse and ensuring customer conduct remains paramount. You will be subject matter expert in Consumer Risk ina financial service setting, understand Regulatory environment and always champion the customer across treatments and interactions.Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isnt always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what wedo as a team.
